How does one sex Crystal Red Shrimps?

I just brought 2 CRS. wondering how to differented it between male and female?

Female -rounder head, curve body, bigger size.
Male- flat head, straight body, smaller size.

Only able to better differentiate when its around 3 months old which is around the size of 1.2cm.

You will only get to confirm their sex when one of the adult female molt. Males will swim crazily all around looking for the target. Females in the tank will behave normally.

Why never check with the shopkeeper before you buy them? What a waste if you bought a pair of gay or lessbian.

In the first place shrimps are not to be kept in pair, they do better in a large group. If you get a larger number, there is no need to worry about sex.

People here keep shrimps like betta and guppy.

ya, here the price expensive to keep in large group....1 month i affordtable to get 2 crs at once. I just have 2 crs now with 20 rcs
