    hey bros , i read from one artical in this forum that brine shrimps will die when put in normal tank as they are from salt water right , but the shrimps i put in for almost 2 weeks are doing fine and i have a feeling even got give birth cause i see some small shrimps in the tank just now. wondering whats happening thanks alot

    Yeah,what shrimp did you buy?Brine shrimp are supposed to be eaten by fish.This is what a brine shrimp looks like.It's very tiny.

    When I read that your brine shrimp were doing fine in freshwater and some of them might have given birth,I was shocked,lol.

    Most likely what you have is not brine shrimp.Maybe you could take a pic and we could help you ID it.

    OH i dont think mine is brine shrimp cause it doesnt look like that. but i bought the shrimps in a packet for a $1 and if comes with ALOT. was thinking it cant be normal shrimps as they are not that cheap right?

    the $1 bag of shrimps commonly sold are about 2-3cm,
    while the brine shrimps are about than 0.2-0.6cm each..
    so yeah, this could help sort out the confusion, or post pictures!

    yes yes they are definatly shrimps . most abt 2-3 cm some bigger! funny thing i saw today i fed my tiger barbs hikari frozen mystis shrimp(is it brine shrimp) , i saw one shrimp eating it, like shrimp eating shrimp , but he sure took long to eat one. haha
