    Hi,

If the air tube is more than 10m long becos the co2 tanks is left in the kitchen but the fishtank is setup in the living room. Will this cause some resistance to build up in the regulator or solenoid and somehow damage it.

what i hear is that CO2, being mildly acidic, will cause some corrosion and eventual leakage on normal tubing.

    co2 is a neutral gas
h2co3 is an medium strength acid
the reason why people think carbonic acid is a weak acid is because co2 resists the transition into h2co3
anyway, co2 doesn't corrode the tubing directly

Can I know how much does a metre of co2 tubing cost?
How long can the normal air tube last?

normal airline tubing and co2 'proof' airline tubing will last about the same time
i don't anticipate them failing in the forseeable future

co2 proof tubing (the branded stuff) is over 20 bucks for 5m
you can go to kelantan lane and look for teck soon huat
they sell pneumatic airline tubing (bring aquarium airline tubing for them to check the internal diameter)
    about 1 dollar per meter

if i could tell you which one it was, i'd likely have the exact unit number, yeah?
the name is on the front of the shoo
iirc it's in one of the two blocks facing each other

pneumatic tubing should be quite resistant to gas leaking, considering they're used for high pressure applications
