I agree... planning to add small amount of Glossostigma among my hairgrass lawn to get the same natural effect. You think it will suit my 2ft Iwagumi?

Yeah, 2 tank is already taken up so much of my time. So i only have 2 major tank, the rest is small and never change water, but they are in good condition, populated.

Humm, i didn´t knew about this tank.If there were only sagitaria subulata(???) on the left would be better, and a small plant like tennelus on the right.

    Re: Brazilian Iwagumi

Andre, the next time you do a rock scape, you might try it this way: the dry start method:

No water changes, no issues and the HC grows fast.

    Week 2

    Week 4:

Week 7 and the filling part:

    Week 9:

    total water changes: 3

Not bad for a new tank.

You can use Worm castings or a fert rich spray to do this with plain sand also if ADA aqua soil is not available.

Here's my Chinese style rock scape I'm starting, not quite filled in, giving it another week or two:

Just enough water to saturate the sediment, then cover the top and wait.
No dosing, no work or any sort.

I started with a single pot of HC for the 60cm tank above and 7-8 weeks later it will be a solid rug of HC.

    Try this and see.

    Regards,
    Tom Barr
