Help! White spots on my neon tetra!!!

Ther are small white spots on my neon tetras and they are Spreading!!! What should I do??

Add salt? or add the medication for white spots?

What kind of tank are they kept in? Planted? with invertebrates?
This will determine what sort of medication or treatment you can use.
