very nice!I had some very long ago but their finnage weren't so long.
These was in our stores a while ago.
The males have this gill plate extension thingy besides the extensions on the caudal, anal and dorsal fins. Notice the filament that ends with a white dot near the lateral line? It moves. Not sure what is the function though...
I thought it is quite cute with all the extensions flowing as the fish dance around the tank. Anyone keeping these?

Such amazing details!!
Cheers,
I have dwarf cichlids in my tanks! Do you?
no chance to see them even..haha..
I let mine into my "pond" long ago as their sword weren't very long. I think there is at least one still around but really hard to see.

The gill extension is supposed to be a secondary sexual organ that secretes a chemical to attract females.![]()
Ooo. That's interesting. Too bad the females died.
Thanks Matt for the information.

i had tried with 12pcs from C328 & all died off so easily....main reason - the sword became target "food" for some of my dwarf cichlid & other tetras. Once injured, they are soon died from the bateria attack from the wounds.
