    Hi all,

For some peculiar reasons, a voice inside pulled me back into starting an aquarium. I've little experience in keeping fresh water fishes in the past and thought of starting a 3ft planted tank. From the look of some posts, this seems to be CHALLENGING. Anyhow, will be on the look out for advises and tips for the set up! J

    Welcome to AQ Boarky!

Jumping into this hobby will be quite a challenge to you as well as your wallet. But, don't be shy of the challenges, grab them and run with it! Things might be difficult to comprehend in the beginning but with time and patience as well as the knowledge that things may not go your way ( Murphy's Law ), you will learn alot and come out better than when you started. Beside, you are not alone in this hobby as you'll may notice. Take your time to browse our forum. Remember, any journey will start with a small step.

    Hope this helps!

Planted tanks are a totally different animal from fish only tanks...
I found out a little late...
So its fish only for me at the moment.
My current planted setups are low maintenance.
But what a sight a gloriously done planted tank give!
Check out the display tanks at Bioplast.
That's shop that "did me in"!

Thanks! I've been doing quite abit of reading and looking at various set ups. Real noob here and I am really taking a step at a time. Been studying the hardware 1st... need to buy a tank and stuff. The plants and design will come later.. (I hope not too late by then). So far decided on a 3ftx2ftx2ft tank, T5 lightings, Co2 tank, and external canister filter. Will learn more before making purchases.
