Hi Bro. May I know where you get the LED light set?
Please advice.
Thank you
Melvin
Bro Jervis, any feedback on the LED light set after usage for a while?
Cheers
So far I am quite satisfied with the result, running 3 tubes over my 2ft tank. Although I have not tried red stems... probably insufficient anyway.
Here's a latest tank pix taken today (using Cybershot, not DSLR).
I have reduced the area of the Japanese hairgrass and planted more Blyxa japonica.
Rotala sp. green creeping out of control
Quite lush and green... not bad considering the LED lighting. Will perform another round of serious trimming this week.
The Blyxa japonica is thick and bushy

Excellent growth bro !![]()
and is that algae growth on the "rocks" ? I think it makes them look more real now...
Haha... that creeping rotala green is really interesting though.
It looks like a forest man.. Very impressive healthy plants.
Time for a trimming session!
Cheers
Actually I'm more excited over the AQ ADAGetting a bit late though... gotto find ways to speed things up. How about you? Getting ready?
It's a sad day today... the FINAL FTS

Decided to share with you guys the "tearing down" process... this process is just as important and enjoyable as the setting up
As always, the glass CO2 ware are the first to be removed
Because I will be using back the canister filter and its content, extra care should be taken. I unplugged the canister filter before messing up the tank to avoid soil dust/detritus clogging the filter media.
But of course, we shouldn't let the media trapped inside (without water flow) for too long. So, I dumped the media trays into my 4ft tank to keep things alive for a couple of days while setting up the new tank.

You can actually connect those hose into your big tank instead dismantle it. Is better this way, current runs in and bb is still healthy.![]()
MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!!! TIME TO LAY BACK AND RELAX!
A Journey Of A Thousand Miles Begins With A Single Step
Now the fun part is over
I will try to net as many fish/shrimps out as possible before messing up the tank... but very often plants will have to be removed to facilitate netting.
Plants will be kept alive and reuse in other projects... it's a waste to discard them after all the TLC that goes into growing them
Here's how it looks like towards the end...
Small shrimps are pretty difficult to net out, I will have to catch them using bare hands![]()
Yes that's another good way to handle the situation... but I prefer to let the canister rest for a while. I will take this opportunity to clean/dry the canister and check for parts that may require replacement. Perhaps I should consider changing the rubber O ringAlso, the inlet and outlet will have to be cleaned/soaked properly... in preparation for the next change

This is the dirtiest and most taxing stageScope them out 1 cup at a time... luckily it's just a 2ft tank
In the coming days, I will be showing you guys where I've relocated the livestock and plants... as you can see... the end of a project often marks the beginning of another
There is no need to say GOODBYE![]()
