hey bro, they are from the unimaculata group, so their requirements are similar to (e.g. macrostoma, ocellata, unimaculata, pallifina etc)

at least 2 ft tank, the bigger the better,
temp wise should be ard 28,
    pH 5.5 to 6.5,
plenty of cover and some clearing to spawn,
eats BW, BS, pellet, dried small shrimp, mysis shrimp, molted mealworms etc.

    basically that's it...
    oh, ya kinda aggresive too...

Yes, kind of aggressive....after my 1st breeding 2 month ago...my female was killed by the male...
i suggest buying a group of 5-6pcs for breeding to disperse the aggressiveness

a confirmed betta pair rarely attacks his/her own mate except when space is limited.

when the male is brooding, female may attack the male who is more vulnerable.. (but normally she will be ignorant and she in fact will fend off intruder during mating...)

but in a big tank, he can find places to hide..

a group of fishes may cause the male (mostly 1st timers) to swallow... a confirmed pair is better housed alone..
