Hi all,
My pair of discus currently carrying 1 batch of 2 weeks old fries, and another batch of just freeswim fries, this evening found another batch of eggs on the tank floor
wonder why all brood is of small quantity, not more than 50 fries
and wonder how come this pair is so horny
any happen to encounter this

the second batch of freeswim fries MIA today
wait for the third batch to hatch

i think the spawning is too frequent , resulting in smaller no of eggs.
if you are not in a hurry to produce tons of babies , better to lengthen the frequency of the spawning and rest the female and male, so that the spawn is larger and the male is more fertile.
cheers.
Noted.
is ok with small spawn as i lack of fries tank

Bro..post some pics??
Nice! Its always so exciting when our fishes breed. Congrats!
They breed again because the previous batch is small.
This happens quite often, whenever there is a small batch,
they will breed again, and many times they eat up the existing fries.
