wonder why all brood is of small quantity, not more than 50 fries

and wonder how come this pair is so horny

i think the spawning is too frequent , resulting in smaller no of eggs.
if you are not in a hurry to produce tons of babies , better to lengthen the frequency of the spawning and rest the female and male, so that the spawn is larger and the male is more fertile.
    cheers.

They breed again because the previous batch is small.
This happens quite often, whenever there is a small batch,
they will breed again, and many times they eat up the existing fries.

Normal. Discus pair will only take care of 1 batch of fries, and will makan up the rest previous one. So, the next time your discus carrying fries, and lay eggs, you either remove the fries or the eggs.
