    Hi guys,
Finally got a co2 tank for myself after 6 months of hardship with those sugar and yeast mixture. there are few questions i would like to ask:
    1) Why is there a 'hissing' sound when i on my co2?
    2) The pressure gauge becomes so cold with vapour after i on for a short while? is it leaking around there?
    3) How do i take care of it?
    4) what do i have to check for?
    5) How much is enough co2? this morning found 2 of my cardinal tetras 'sleeping' forever.

    please advise. Thanks[]

    1) Why is there a 'hissing' sound when i on my co2?
There is a leakage somewhere. Put white tape (those use for piping @ the outlet of the cylinder before you put the regulator valve. Check all tubing connected propoerly.

    2) The pressure gauge becomes so cold with vapour after i on for a short while? is it leaking around there?
Normal. Nothing wrong. My pressure gauge also feel cold but I didnt see any vapour

    3) How do i take care of it?
    See above

    4) what do i have to check for?
Leakage is the most important for co2 connection. In additon, make sure you connect the non return valve in the correct direction.

    5) How much is enough co2? this morning found 2 of my cardinal tetras 'sleeping' forever
Depends on whether you are using a reactor or diffuser. I use a reactor and I inject 1 bubble per sec of co2 into my tank. You may want to check the ph and kh value of your tank to determine the amount of co2.

    Hope this helps[]

Well...the appearance of vapour in the reading gauge probably says it all...it is leaking through the gauge. Close the main valve immediately to prevent further leakage. Remove the regulator and send it back to where you bought the regulator for checking. []
