Are you suggesting the tanks used for scuba or wielding purposes? Technically, they're all used to store gas... don't see a reason why they can't be used. But do send it to Bioplast to have the uncle rid of any harmful gas that may be in it.
Hi,
Now I am planning to built a CO2 system. My question is:
There seems to be two type CO2 cylinder in the aquarium shop in local market. Is there any body try other CO2 cylinders (not specialized for aquarium) for your tank? As the price for the aquarium is really higher than the normal one. Can we use this kind of cylinder which is not specilized for fish tank at home? If so, I think the cost is reduced.
Any body to give some suggestion? Thanks a lot.

as long as the cylinder is designed for co2 storage, it can be used.
what is your alternative cylinder? and where can you get it.
do not forget that co2 cylinder is highly pressurised at 1000+ psi.
