Is it normal to find the Horned Nerite Snail digging by the side of the tank into the gravel?Do i need to dig it out? Loss of sense?

Mine buried itself when i was doing rescape for my tank. Guess that's their way to escape predators?
Was kind of surprised when i've removed all my lifestock but just couldn't find the nerite snails.
Its only when i'm planting then accidentally found them with my tweezers
Hi bro stonespot,
the ones which you helped me to get also exhibits the same behaviours as yours... There was once when I can't locate one of it after searching the whole morning, later realised that it had burrowed itself into my GEX substrate. Digged it out - only to find it buried back into the substrate again in less than 30 minutes time... [Gave up , just let it be nowadays...]
Btw, how's your CRSs doing?
Regards.
I don't see my doing this...
they only crawl to the water surface there.
