    Hi all,

I've seen some of the threads and posts, as well as linked sites discussing setups. Right now I own a very small sundew (dox...something) and a saccarenia(spelling?) pitcher plant, the short small and fat ones. At first I was wondering if I could combine them in a high humidity setup assisted by a small water source with guppies to prevent mozzies, the 'pond' will assist with keeping the substrate moist.

As I keep looking through, I had more ideas. So right now I am abit lost with my directions. For one thing I know i'd like to start small, and simple (but not plain). Is there any direction for that? Is there someone's post or work which I can refer to?

I am prepared to maintain a T-5 lighted setup btw.

Hi Glenn, I'm a big fan of carnivorious plants too. I own 3 nep (2 Nepenthes Amp, 1 Nepenthes Viking), I'm actually quite a newbie at carnivorious plants, only got into it 2 months back.
Incidentally I'm keeping them in my 2.5ft cube tank and they're doing extremely well with amazing growth rates and I really mean amazing because I can see growth every day for the pitchers and the leaves.

I'm also using T5 on them and I cover the tank with 12mm thick acrylics with only 4 1in holes at the corners

the sprayfoam wasn't used as I've read that it could deteriorate over time and crickets might just chew off them and its unhealthy...

I left the background untouch (though I've bought real cork bark from Nature Aquarium) and basically used bogwoods/driftwoods covered with moss and ferns to block out the pipings...

will try and update with more pics soon

It is possible. Some of the Nepenthes and Pinguicula species are found on cliff faces in nature.

You can get Nepenthes easily in Singapore but they are all typically much larger than 1 foot in width and height!

There are small pinguiculas, aka butterwort, but they are very rare in Singapore. Those that are occasionally found for sale can grow rather large.

This is one of my plants. The pot is about 6 inches across.

Here is a couple of links to two species of Pinguicula growing on cliff faces.

not advisable to mix pings together with your sundews and Sarracenia unless they are non-mexcian var. which prefer wetter media than the mexican var.
Those interested in sundew aka Drosera, drop by World Farm or Far east flora, they got some local supplies of D. fillformis, D. buranmmani, D. intermedia and P. primuliflora, apart from these, WF have some P. tina, typical VFT and many sized Sarracenia (not familiar with them hence can't ID them).

Glad to find more members into CPs in AQ
