Why they sometimes call it a Fire Notho

Hi, fellas,

Was going through my pictures when I saw this one taken a few months ago. The Nothobranchius rachovii was in my main tank at that time and I had many of them. But velvet and all took its toll and now the fish are no more. It's a bit harder to keep the annuals in planted tanks.

Not that I'm advocating the use of common names but I think the picture shows why the fish is sometimes also known as a Fire Notho.

Yah, man! They flare and fight like fighting fish!

Sidetrack:
One of my male Notho just passed away. There was no noticable sign of disease but one eye was swollen badly.
