Kwek Leong,
I'm glad that Dave's here too and did briefly read up on his 'gender experiments' mentioned in KT & SAA List. I'll be keen to see how the 'doublets theory' can be applied to other species.
Again, Dave, welcome to our little corner.
Hi, folks,
I didn't invite him to join this forum but I'm very glad he did.
Please give a warm welcome to my friend and killifish enthusiast, Dave Wood. Dave lives in England. He's been doing some interesting experiments on "Gender Control in Killifish". Seems like there's a theory which postulates that if you separate a batch of Killifish fry into two's and raise them on their own away from other fry, the 2 will grow up to be a pair. If the theory is true, it would mean the sex of fry are not determined at birth. In other words, sex is made and not born. I don't know if it's an "old wives tale" or "an urban legend"but either way, it's an interesting theory.

Welcome Dave,
This forum can sure use your experience and others.
I read that thread on the gender experiment with interest. Might be very interesting to replicate that and see whether the results varies.

KL, I didn't ask Dave to join, either, I simply asked "The Madcap Masterbreeder of Northampton" a question. Too late now, of course, but
have you ever thought of a screening process for new members?![]()
Welcome again, Dave!![]()
