My question is: are all regulator come with solenoid realiable in giving constant CO2 flow rate ? So far haven't read across any complain about regulator/solenoid units. Any louzy brand that I should beware ? The cheapest I have come across is $110, name is San Yong, but the solenoid is Made in Germany. Otherwise all is around $180.

Do there have double gauge regulator (without solenoid) in the market, coz I don't intend to use timer.

I cannot say that all solenoid regulators are reliable but I'm safe to say that they are more reliable than most manual regulators in terms of giving constant flowrate

    What you mean?

From what i understand, solenoid regulator + timer can on/off CO2 supply during light on/off period.
For me, i will just supply the CO2 24hrs/day.
That is why i meant double gauge regulator w/o solenoid. Now i remember i saw once, it's Bioplast product, looks real cool. Price $180+ !!

Actually, you can just ask Chan to modify his 2 gauge solenoid regulator to run without relying on the solenoid to turn on/off the CO2 supply. However, I would strongly recommend that you keep the solenoid cos it will help you save some $ on CO2 top-up and, most importantly, allow you to have 30-35ppm of CO2 during lights on period w/o having CO2 go up to stressful levels (for fishes) during lights off.
