    Hello guys,

I just set up my very first tank last night and took a few shots. It’s a very simply one on a 2ft tank. The 3ft tank was set up beautifully by Mr Loh but I had to re-do it because they have somehow turned into a 'mini forest' and they looked untidy.

    The pictures can be viewed at the following link, under My Tanks;

Not bad... you're showing signs of improvement with photography and setting up a planted tank!

Lily, I was also browsing through your Rivulus cylindraceus album and realized that you've gotten some frys already.

When were your RIV eggs collected? I'm hesitant to dunk mine since I still don't see any obvious eyeing-up.
I'm back & keeping 'em fingers wet,

    Hey Ronnie,
I collected the eggs on the day they arrived. After I got it from Au the same night, I wet it immediately. Half an hour later, I saw a fry and realized some dead ones too. That concluded that some actually hatched during the journey here.
To date, I have collected 6 fry and I have discard the peat moss away. All I need is just one pair consisting of one male and one female!!
I think it’s better you wet yours now!
BTW, thanks for your kind comment on my newly set-up tank, as a slow learner, I am flattered!

Lily, urm... let me rephrase the question. What does the 'collected date' on the cover of the petri dish say? The plastic cover has info like species name, number of eggs and 'collected NOV xxth', so yours is NOV what?

We ALL need a pair from our eggs!!!

I think it’s better you wet yours now!
I'll be taking a break in a while and will check on the eggs through the scope and see if the iris is present.
I'm back & keeping 'em fingers wet,

    Lily,

Good effort. I noticed the back ground poster is marine themed, are you lacking colours for the aquascape? Well, most importantly, you must like it.

As for me, aquascaping is my endless dismay, I am never good at it. But again, I never give it up.

    Thanks for sharing.

    Hey Ronnie,

Sorry for the misreading, always happen to old women like me.
Oh yes, as what was written on the cover of the petri dish of
Rivulus cylindraceus eggs, I dont recall seeing any date stated. On the cover was written the name of species, 15 eggs, eyed up near to hatching, so I soaked them immediately.
Perhaps I will bring the empty dish along with me for the gathering..
