X-mass moss flower

Hallo.

When i tied my X-massmoss I got from Timebomb himself I saw some "flowers" at the moss. I never seen this at javamoss but at forestmosses here in Sweden.

Is this usual? See picture

If you are referring to those brown stalks that look like commas, they are known as capsules. I'm not sure how the moss reproduces itself but inside these capsules are their spores. It's quite usual to see many capsules sprouting from the Christmas Moss. I don't know what it is but something triggers their growth. Occasionally, I see many capsules sprouting from my moss wall.
