Pic of tank taken 6 weeks after rescape. Still waiting for the E. Ozelot to cover the space behind the rock.

    Some pics of my tanks

A few comments that I have:

    1) nice E. tennelus lawn!

    2) too many fast growers in the tank. unless you can afford the maintenance, I suggest taking out some of the hygrophilas.

    3) this comment can be considered with point 2. generally, there is a lack of textural contrast. the plants like the red lotus, hygrophila stricta and difformis have large leaves (and your E.ozelot as well when it grows). I would suggest plants smaller leaf size and of different shape. Maybe you can consider MM, rotala indica, rotala wallichi, bacopa monneri etc). Also, from what I see, the tank should be about 2 feet, smaller plants can give a greater feel of depth.

    4) but overall, plants look healthy and no sign of much algae. Well done!

    Just some of my comments!

    Hello Yew Kiat,

Thanks for the comments. That was what I thought too, will be doing a minor rescape soon. Yep, the hygrophilas grows really fast and I have to trim it weekly.

    The tank is 2ft deep.

    Lincoln,

For a small tank, it is quite good that you managed to create contrast and dept. To enhance it further, try to hide all equipment in the tank. I can see your CO2 tubing, if you are using external canister filter, try using the external reactor, otherwise with it with plants.

    Hi Freddy,

Thanks for the comments. I will try using the plants to cover up the tube, my skimmer is already covered by another plant.

    BTW, the tank is 3ft(L)*1.5ft(L)*2ft(H).
