Mosses are very easy to grow. They like cool clean moving water and minimal fertiliser. If you put too much fertiliser or have too much light, you will end with algae covered moss.

If you have not grown any mosses before, you can try Java and Singapore Moss first. They are easier to grow and more affordable. You can sometimes find people giving away these mosses at trading forum. LFS that sell mosses include NA, Keong Seong, Plantas, Eco-Culture, Petmart, Teo etc.

Almost any common type I believe. If you look in the Misc and FAQ section of the main killies.com page, I think you will find much information on growing mosses..... the past threads are also a good way of getting information, as people may be too busy through the day to reply. Some folks also dislike spoon-feeding others, especially when answers are readily available with a little effort.
