    Poh San, while the 'Baissa' is supposedly a 'common' GAR, one seldom see them being advertised for trade or sale.

    Have well-seasoned receiving containers awaiting the 'guests' and will try to care for them while you're away.

    Also, in an earlier thread (I think), someone mentioned that the 'Baissa' resembles the 'Makudi' (sp?) and vice versa.

    Ron, according to what I've seen from pictures on Tim Addis's site, I do believe that the Makurdi and Lokoja populations of Fp. nigerianus resemble the Baissa that you used to have.

    There's a good method of identifying the population by looking at the rear markings on the dorsal fin. Take a look at the picture on the Baissa page and compare it to the fish in question.

    I do believe the picture was enhanced but it is nevertheless a beautiful fish.
