    Have anyone have any experience of Aplocheilus dayi? How does a male or female look like? Breeding info

    Is normal for them to all flare their fins at each other?

    Hi, Jimmy,
    Here is a site with a picture,but the color is poor.I believe they are more blue through the body.

    Now for some imformation..
    Male size... cm 9.0, females are smaller
    easy spawners
    fry take bbs on hatching
    Water temp..... 22c to 32c
    water conditions...... alkaline to neutral,slightly brackish
    Life span in an aquarium... 4 years
    They are non-annauls,and will spawn in mops or java moss.

    Jimmy, the Aplocheilus dayi is commonly known as the 'Green Panchax'. If you look up the following threads, there're information and further links on the Aplocheilus panchax or 'Blue Panchax'.

    Both species belong to the same genus, sharing similar breeding preferences.
