Tony Terceira's new CD

Hi, folks,

Tony Terceira wrote me and said his new CD is now available. It's called "The Killifish Sourcebook Vol 1". The CD contains 144 photographs, some dating back to 1971, representing 33 genera , 112 species. There are 61 photos of aquarium strains whose lineage has not been documented. The remaining 81 photos represent specific locations, 17 of which are wild

Tony said every effort has been made to choose a representative image and having seen his first album, I have no reason to doubt his words.

The retail cost of the CD is $26.95 USD but discounts of 30-40% will be given if we purchase in bulk. Tony did not specify how many CDs we have to purchase before it's considered "bulk" but I believe he would be fair.

The last time we bought Tony's CD, Sia Meng was the one who co-ordinated the orders and made the payment on our behalves. I don't know if he's willing to do the same again but if any of you volunteer, your CD will be free. I'm getting a free one from Tony and I think I should give it to the person who co-ordinate the orders. Any volunteers? Please don't forget that you must have a paypal account before you volunteer.

Thanks for volunteering, Sia Meng. Since you were the co-ordinator for the last bulk purchase, it would be better if you be the one to co-ordinate the orders for this new CD also. To ask for a $30 deposit is fair as the total amount can turn out to be quite a high figure.

Folks, I know the price seems a bit high but I would encourage all of you to buy the CD. Tony Terceira has contributed a lot to the hobby and he deserves our support. He wrote a book on killifish in 1987 and Tony's Killifish pictures appear in many web sites and magazines. Tony is truly one of the old masters. Purchasing the CD would be a token of our appreciation for all the good work that he has done in the last 35 years.

Some of us already have that GAR CD in our library and it's interesting stuff! What some of us are wishing, is that electronic reprint of Tony's book, if and when it materializes.

Welcome to the forum, David. I think I speak for everyone here when I say that knowing how successful you are with many species of Killies, your input would be highly sought after and valued. We had pretty good success with the egg hatching the last time we bought eggs from you en masse. It's highly likely we will do it again.

Don’t worry Guys, Tony will give us a good discount. Tony sold us the GAR CD at US$8.50 as compared to the retail price of US$11.95 (without shipping). The shipping and handling for the 10 CDs was US$25.00 (If my memory did not fail me). So that work out to be USD$11.00 per CD

Tony's CD arrived a few hours ago. I only had time for a peek but as expected, the photographs are of a very high quality. There are so many species of Killies I wonder if we will ever get to see them all.

Besides the Epiplatys fasciolatus zimiensis which is causing a lot of excitement in this forum now, there's also another few species of Epiplatys which are very beautiful, one of which is the Epi chevalieri chevalieri. I think this one looks even better and has more colours than the Epi. fasciolatus. Keep yours eyes peeled. Maybe KillifishDavid has the eggs of this fish for sale on aquabid.

Sia Meng, if you are free this weekend, pop over and collect your free CD.

Thanks Sia Meng. I thought my mail will be late when I replied it. Sorry for not poping into this forum for sometime. Was busy settling down after the MIPE in KL. Just for the info, a group of us just started of with Malaysian Cichlid Association. We did great in MIPE.

Tony had replied my mail. He has given us really good discount. The cost of the CD is US$15.50. He is not able to estimate the shipping and handling cost at the moment, so he will only advise me when he send out the parcel.

I received a mail from Tony last week, there will be a slight delay on the arrival of the CDs as his supplier is not able to send it to him on time.

Anyway I had already paid for the 12 CDs and Tony will advice me on the shipping charges once he sends out the CD.
