Unknown rivulus

On Saturday, 24 April 2004, I collected from Ronnie four rivulus who got it from Jianyang who got it from....I dunno who.

Anyway, inside the container , was a pair of Rivulus rectocaudatus and two unknown rivulus with a spot near the top of the caudal fin. I do not have any photos of the two unknown fishes but if Ronnie or Jianyang can remember how the fish looks like, does it looks like the one in the pics?

I'll try to get a pic but the quality might not be so good as I'll be using a video-cam - it'll be a long process.

Zul, I still remember very well how they look like. I didn't know what those 2 females were. They came in a mixed bag of Rivulus while I was at Choong Sua. The male you have now was the last male. The rest all jumped to their 'immortality'. For those two unknown females I really have no idea what they are. Closest guess I would make would be Rivulus marmoratus. But then again, I'm not too sure. All I know is that those two females have the tail spot that is common to almost all Rivulus females.

The fish is indeed R. rectocaudatus. At least I got the ID correct. :wink:

Jianyang, it's pretty easy to id the male also. Anyway, is this the female of the rectocaudatus?

For the experts out there, can help to id these two unknown (female?) rivulus?

Zul, yes I believe the female is the one shown in Picture 1.
As for the other two, I'm still not certain as to what they are.
