    Hi folks,
Just wanted to share some pics of this nice blue variant of the N'sukka, which in it's original wild form, is more green in color and arrived in form of eggs-on-peat, together with the revelled Epiplatys fasciolatus zimiensis SL89.

    Fundulopanchax gardneri N'sukka (Blue form)

Of the 37 juvenile, 14 & 13 went to Au and Sia Meng respectively, with the remaining 10 under my care. A pair of these now resides in Tom's tank when we collaborated on the 'breather bag trial'.

I transferred the 8 'blues' to a nice big permanent setup with UGF that needs more plants*. Unfortunately, I lost a female, trapped in the spawning mop and am now left with 6M/1F (Au, if you've extra females at your end, save a few for me).

Some blurry pics in this the album. Will take better ones later. Enjoy.

    Ronnie,

Darren Lum used to have a Blue F. gardneri N'sukka in his tanks too. We talk about it in this post.
    His looks bluer than yours.

    Blue n'sukka

My n'sukka are much bluer than that. They also have about 3x the red spots of the ones in your photos, granted your guys are still young where mine are 5 or 6cm TL.

I'd call those guys green n'sukka, not blue. I've also heard of gold and maybe albino n'sukka.

    Here's my n'sukka.

    Re: Blue n'sukka

Guys, this batch of N'sukka is supposedly bluish through selective breeding but I won't rule out the possibility of green throw-backs. Also, Pat did mention that the 'Blue form' has lesser red spots and I'm wishing that he's lurking here. Perhaps Au and Sia Meng can also comment on those in their tanks.

At about 3cm, they are still juvenile and may not be showing their true-colors. Regardless of that, I will be maintaining them as a separate line, away from my original N'sukka (green form) which were either from Nonn or Kean Huat (sorry but that was 2001 )

Here's a pic of the 'I-dunno-what' generation of the original N'sukka

Josh, I was looking at your SJO and these fellas have a really mean look, as does mine. I've no idea what strain mine is but it's slowly coloring up.

Side note: I used to maintain both N'sukka and Baissa but lost the later after a house move. If anyone can acquire 3 juvenile pairs of Baissa and ship them in breathers, I'll appreciate it very much.
