Rena Filter

Does any member tried using the new Rena filter? Please give feedback vis-a-vis comparison with Eheim filter.

Personally, I was considering getting a Rena external filter. It seems to be good value for money. I have been using a Rena internal filter for > 2 years and the filter is still running like new, except of the suction cups which hardened and lost its suction after I soaked it in bleach.

I have read quite a number of good reviews on the APD (aquatic-plant disgest). Some of the good things I read:
- easy priming
- good flowrate
- sturdy built

The only shortfall here in Singaore I think might be lack of support in terms of spare parts availabilty. I think if you can find a good source for spare parts or servicing, Rena filters should be a good buy.
