Interesting. A new aquascape every month. And each having its own unique look.

I like the May 2004 version best. The rest seem to have too many types of plants that complicated the design. My opinions only.

There is 14 types of plants in May version and 12types(included 2types of moss) in August . In weekend i removed ammania, hydrocotylle verticillata and put singapore and tajwan moss so now in 12types(included 4types of moss: java, erect, tajwan, singapore) .

I actually like the July scape the most, but feel that with a bit more maintanence (trimming) on the left and side and more growth on the right hand side, it will look better than in the pictures.

I am no fan of blue backgrounds unless air-brushed. I think a black background will accentuate the beauty of the tank. keep up the good work!

Nice tanks. Obviously a labour of love.

I too, prefer the May aquascape. But it was a hard choice as the rest are good too.

I see that you've added an internal filter in the Aug 04 set up. Was it because the cannister filteration was not sufficient? What's your filteration set up like anyway?

    Cheers,
I have dwarf cichlids in my tanks! Do you?

My filteration is Eheim 2215 and small internal filter Aquael Fan mini (only for water circulation...this filter is up to 30-40l ).
    180l : 100x40x45cm
    Light: 4x30W (2x TLD840, Biolux 965, AquaGLO)
    pH: 6.7-6.9
    KH 4
    GH 5-6
    NO3 5ppm
    PO4 0.5ppm

Well, the may version maybe is good but I was pretty sick of riccia(NEVER AGAIN ), heteranthera and glosso.....and i had some problem with algae on lilaeopsis and glosso. Maybe the may picture is too good

Believe that I sound like a broken record but I also like the May version! However, it could have been even better with some red plants.

Waiting to see what new aquascape you have for Sept 04.

    It's getting better and better!
Not sure if it would be good to hide the filter equipment at left with more of Ludwigia inclinata.

Very nice combination of not easy-to-grow-plts. Very good aquascape sense too. But I'd like to be frank and say what no else has said in this thread... your blue background does give your tank a contrived appearance. A corky-textured background would take away the artificiality, which I think is the only imperfection.

    Great job!

You're right. Blue background isn't good for this aquascape but i can't remove it...it's "stick for good" (I can remove it only when i'll remove everything from tank ). Propably in december/january i will reaquascape this tank (maybe for ADA 2005 )

ADA contest is great motivation to do some changes in aquascape. I hope you will send your application in next year. Polish representation is going to increase number of contestants and that's a good sign
