Seeing most of you are from Singapore, do any of you use banana leaves in your tanks? I actually have a source for them and have a small one in my backyard as of now.

I personally don't use them. I do use leaves from the Ketapang Tree aka Sea Almond (Terminalia catappa). These are the tropical equivalent of oak leaves. Great for turning your water brown but essential in some cases when one keeps blackwater species.

Banana leaves have sort of medication purposes and I only use it for wounded fish I have at home. But I have only tried it for different species of Bettas
