I have a few plantlets of Fine Leafed Water Sprite (Ceratopteris siliquosa) to spare. This is a fast growing fern and is very good for absorbing excess nutrients. You can pick up the plant from my office at Ngee Ann City or my house at West Coast. PM me if you are interested.

On the topic of Ceratopteris, I have several plantlets that I got by removing all the leaves from a store bought plant. Those back at my flat in the softwater tanks with only ambient lighting seem to be greener and healthier than those in the lab in hard water under bright lighting. These also seems to be doing far worse.

I used grow Ceratopteris back home in SA in shallow soft water tank under TFC tubes such that the stuff pushed off the coverglass. Some plants eventually grew so big they were 1m accross with roots wrapping all around the tank. As of late I have been unable to grow the plants in tanks where other plants were thriving. Why?

It is well known that this fast growing plant is a nutrient sponge does it need high nutrients do well? along with soft water? I have also heard reports of entire tanks of Ceratopteris simply dying from polluted water (too much fish waste). For an "easy" plant it seems to be quite picky.

Any advise in getting this plant to thrive?

    Thanks
