Me and my wife love air plant as well. Will post photo of our plants later.
The Far East Flora nursery along QueensWay carries quite a few number of species at very reasonable price.
Didn't know where to post this since its about my hobby with airplants. Certainly not your standard aquarium plants but a worthwhile hobby to take one's mind off the fishy business for awhile.
Time to show some pictures of my beloved Tillandsias, aka Tillys. I currently own 4 species and will increase my collection as time goes by. Here's some pictures.
Any other Tilly fans out there?

I've started the hobby on air plant about 15 years back while I was still young. At that time, the plant was very costly and hard to find. But i recent years, most nursery are selling them and the price had droped. I'm still keep my bonsai but not air plant anymore.
The nursery anear to Ang Mo Kio Library have a good collections on air plants . You might want to take a look there.

By air plant, do you mean that they live off the air (moisture, CO2, etc)?
Yes.Originally Posted by fc

They don't exactly live off the air. They do get their CO2 from the air but they need regular dips in a pail of water and daily misting using a spray bottle otherwise they begin to dry up. Certain species require less attention while others need more. My Tillandsia didisticha is a big water guzzler. When I neglect it the leaf tips will turn a slight brown, showing me that it lacks water.
Nutrients like trace elements and macros are supplemented by mixing in liquid plant fertiliser in water by a ratio of 1:4. They should be misted with the fert-water mix at least once a week. They should not get any water trapped at the base of the leaves otherwise they develop a form of rotting.
Most should be kept away from direct sunlight. They dry up easily in Singapore's climate. So far I've had just one that bloomed.
I get my plants from Tillandsia Biotope. They have a website at this address: http://www.tillandsia.com.sg Take a look.

My pleasure Gan, , I bought my plants when their pushcart was located at Westmall. Now they're located at Causeway Point down at Woodlands. Its best to check the website for details on their current location. They had lots of nice flowering Tillys that I didn't get because I don't quite like hybrid plants.
Nice for a show piece though.
