    One more question for PeterGwee...

If I crank up my CO2 level to say, 30ppm, and restore full lighting, would pre-existing BBA recede?

Mike, it will not grow if you can maintain 30ppm throughout the photoperiod and the entire week in week out. If the BBA is not growing, all that is left is just killing off the remaining ones in the tank. If your BBA is still growing, you need a serious review of your CO2 level over the entire week. Check the levels and equipments...if everything still checks out but BBA still grows, add more CO2 slowly. Go for 5-10ppm extra and monitor. If critters are fine, you can go for the full 10ppm+.

Oh, make sure you remove every trace of BBA through some serious maintenance work (uproot plants/ trim off infected plants/ rotate infected gravel into the lower portion) or else you would think that there is new growth but in actual fact, that is the leftover from previous infection.

    Regards
