I am new to the fillies world. I was fascinated when I first saw it and have since started to keep it and the interest grew to wanted to breed it.

Without much experience and knowledge, I have failed in all my 6 attempts. Since then, I have started to do some reading about this species and now, I am ready again to try it.

However, in Singapore, getting a female fish is near to impossible, thus I need you advice on the locaiton where I can buy young female killies partiuculcalry the Notho species..

    taygu (what's your name?)

Female nothos are usually mixed up if they arrive at the shops. It takes alot of time to separate them out and only IF they happen to be from two species that do not look similar to each other.

If you want them in pairs or trios please go down to Eco-Culture. There's some trios of Fundulopanchax gardneri "N'Sukka" available there. You can start off the hobby with those fish. Good luck.
    Fish.. Simply Irresistable
    Back to Killies... slowly.

    "taygu"

We hope that you are able to sign off with your real name.

When buying from an lfs, just make sure that what you are buying is the correct female for the male - i.e. make sure if the male is a Nothobranchius reachovii, the female is also likewise. It is sometimes not the lfs fault but the problem has already started at the source.

Killies female are hard to distinguished between species of the same genus.
