Deborah, the next time you get some eggs, why don't you place them in
a shoebox with some of the tankwater to see if you can get some babies?
Even if you don't want them, there might be an LFS that will trade for them.
Just an idea....

I run my 55 gallon tank lights at night for various reasons, and the other night when I checked the tank just before going to bed, I was amazed to see first one, then another, odd sites: Cory eggs hanging hidden with pieces of Eco Complete substrate! They somehow got the substrate off of the bottom of the tank, and up several inches to in one case attach to a stem, and in another case attach under a leaf. The one on the stem in fact has an egg, a piece of substrate, then another egg, then another piece of substrate! The pictures are below. I didn't use a tripod as I wanted to hurry up and take a picture and go to bed - but I almost thought I was dreaming! I'm sorry that they are so fuzzy, my hands aren't that still, and I'm not a great photographer (any good pictures are pure luck).
I'm thinking that the cories are tired of their eggs being eaten and were trying to hide them. Sadly for them, the eggs did get eaten anyway (but I don't want any more cories, so I don't remove the eggs). They are normal Corydorus Aeneaus.
Anyway, thought you might find them interesting and amuzing!

Thanks Bill, but I did raise two of the eggs before - I don't want any baby fish. I get too stressed about what is going to happen to them, so I rather they not be hatched to begin with....
