Au, just want to show you the pics I am getting, and whether this is their proper colour.

There colour varies with lighting and age. Your fellow pictured seems a bit young. As they age and grow they can become much deeper in body and the blue becomes more intense and violetly. The spotting also varies considerably from fish to fish and strain to strain. Some strains are very violet and devoid of spots. Some strains are almost blue-less and covered in red spots.

There is nothing odd about your fish. It seems a typical young specimen of the standard strain in circulation. You should try to obtain fish of Ian Sainthouse's strain which is more violet and less spotted... kind of like Au's "Aquarium strain" (although in principle the only fish in the hobby currently come from the GH 94-1 collection from what I am led to believe).

Tyrone, I am a poor fishkeeper. These are specimens passed to me by Au for photoshoot. I just want to make sure I get at least some good pics of their "expected" coloration since they can vary so much.

Problem is flash photography sometimes (actually usually) produces a different colour compared to normal aquarium conditions.

    Very nice yellow in fins.
There could be more blue... but the fish is young.

    Hi guys,

Sorry for the slow response.. . I was fighting fire in the office to get all my work done as I'll be away for quite sometime and on the other hand, I was also having a war with the ISP who host my website....Errr I think I'm a bit off track.

    Choy,

You've got the colour right. It truly bring out the beauty of the fish.
    Au SL
