Thanks, the owner just confirm. It is Fundulopanchax avichang.
Fp. amieti is just as nice, grows bigger and breeds easier. I cam home from the BKA convention with a bag of both and decided: skrew it, I prefer the amieti and left the avichang with my elated host.
Just my 2c... they are very pretty though.
Hi Tyrone, Can show some pictures? Well, those are the gift from distant friends. So glad to have but won't feel bad if i don't. Further more, my fish tank is small. Big fish might have problem making U-shape turn when i put food near their tail.
Mmmmm trying to understand what is the meaning of "as nice" when we are talking about two different strain. My friend send me this species as a gift for Chinese New Year. The colour blend in well with chinese new year deco.
Gold, Red, Orange.....Nice.
WOW, a free gift from belated X'mas, so will I have fry from you for free.Originally Posted by keehoe

No. I mean i hate to transfer fry. Always have bad feeling about it. I split the eggs into 3 batch. You, me and Loh. So that if i fail to hatch, someone will. You change girl friend again!!
Fp. amieti is one of those irritating fish that photographs poorly. Go to www.google.com and run an image search with amieti inserted and you will get a range of pics. The yellow is as intense as shown in some pics and so is the blue and red but one rarely gets a shot with both colours captured properly. A lovely fish. The avichang suffer the same fat IMHO. I'm sure you will aggree they are much nicer in the flesh than in pictures.
