Dennis,
Grow this moss with different lightings and yuo will notice the difference in size and shape. They can be strainy, miniature triangle, long strains and etc.
I had neglected this moss by tieing it to a wire mesh and
tossing it in a backyard junk tank. Two months ago I took it out
and it was still in fairly good condition and tied it to this wood.
A nice moss, it comes in with wider and a little bit thicker fronds
than regular taiwan moss. I am surprised this was not popularized like
the others. Anyone else growing this moss?

Cool. I have the power to kick now? Thanks for the tips Jerry, I totally agree with the different lightings + other conditions may do it as well. Are you talking about taiwan moss? I think this moss is a little bit different. Maybe I can convince with some comparison pictures. They're both in the same tank and both current pictures. I know they look the same, but I think I see a bit of difference. Here are the two arguments I could think of:
Fronds in taxi.no2 are much wider
Fronds will grow on fronds. Instead of just one frond, it can grow many of them just on one.
Right to the left of my taxi. no2 driftwood, taiwan moss at its full potential in my tank. Older pic.

arrow: This is all on opinion + the fact that it was sent as taxiphyllum no.2 and I've kept it seperate. I already started a taiwan moss wall, if I get enough I'll set up my other side with a wall of taxi.no2 and see how that goes.
Thank you Jerry for keeping this thread alive,

dennis.
what I noticed that yours is definately Taiwan moss. They are lighter shade of green as opposed to X'mas moss.
However mine is X'mas moss judging from it color of darker green. From the same moss, I have mini triangle to longated strands. Less light the moss tends to grow out to seek light. On high lights area the moss tends to be strainy at the begining then sprout out to from it triangular shape.
They grow very very fast too and pearling like riccia at night.
