Guys (Choy and Kenny),
I'm interested in fish photography too but let's keep to the topic now, shall we. Why not kick off 'Fish Photography' thread in Non-Killie sub-forum so I can chip in my 2cents too!
Nah... not as dramatic as you imagined but it's always nice to know that my fishes find good homes (and are appreciated).Originally Posted by hwchoy
Furthermore, since Gan is one of the core members, it's not unusual for us to swap species and spread the safety net. (I'm still working on the namelist for Genus & Species Co-ordinators, bear with me till I finalize my tank revamps)
I'm back & keeping 'em fingers wet,
Ronnie Lee

why I don't do garden hybrids and aquarium strains: natural species is a history of Nature, while hybrids are just the whims of Man.

Okay, digging another old thread out of the dust. This marks my 2nd try with the igneus and hopefully it works. They still can't seem to understand that the bowl is there for them to spawn in.![]()
Look at this gorgeous male with the fin extensions. Thanks to Kee Hoe for the pair. They're settling in nicely and the male is very active.
And here's the lady to go along with the male. I hope they figure out what to do soon.![]()
Fish.. Simply Irresistable
Back to Killies... slowly.
You are welcome JianYang, These are breeding couple so most likely they know what to do. Just make the place a bit more romantic to turn them on. Peat water + Indian Almond extract seems to works well on them.
I have other male that looks nicer. This were the second nicest looking male that you have before i separated them for breeding purpose. I kept the other two (spare) male in my photo tank with less feeding. Those looks nicer now as they feed on Naturose, spirulina enriched food. With intense red colouration at the fin and as they are small in size, cute.
I thought you will need the breeding male more than the "showing" male.
KeeHoe.
