I'm just going to guess... Notho. melanospilus. But what strain... that is lovely big spotting the female has on her flanks.

That's a very nice pair of fish, Kee Hoe. But aren't you afraid they will jump?
Your water level looks too high for comfort.

By the way, if you have spare eggs from the pair, I would be happy to buy them from you. They look similar to N. guentheri's to me.

They really are very pretty! Do you have a strain name for them?

Loh, I will put you at the top of the list. As they are only doing it for "fun". eggs are not viable.

Tyron, you should know the code of it, as you are holding the same strain.
Should have gotten from you instead. But again, i didn't know you had that and i bought your Notho. Orthonotus instead.

Anyway, Notho. Orthonotus also pretty in its own way. It is charming.

Have not been able to respond as much as i would like to recently as i am redesigning my office network. Completed that sometime back, now is into implementation.

Actually, I don't have any melanospilus. I used to have the Mvumi population and the Ifakara but not for some time now...

Thanks, Kee Hoe. I was at Ronnie's house 2 nights ago and we were talking about you. Nothing bad but we're kind of surprised how many species of Killies you have now, considering that you don't even keep fish before you joined this forum. I would like to pop over to your place one of these days to see your Killies. Let me know when is a good time.

Tyron, Is OK. I don't think this is a good beginner species anyway. Well, relatively speaking. This would have crash my beginner confidence if i had too much failure. Your Notho. Orthonotus kind of given me the confidence that i badly needed.

Loh, i forgot to add. I can't make myself to sell you things. Whatever for you is gift from fellow hobbist. Thanks for the offer Loh, as i have been quite tieup recently with many many project. (Office, aquarium, computer game etc etc) I think i am best to be left alone for sometime. This morning i had just lost my cool again when my vendor screwup the order. (and they still dare to call it "professional service")

Now i am getting ready for David's order. Hopefully settle everything right after the coming long weekend. I will be going back to home town this long weekend.

I limited myself to 9 species with a planted tank. Think that is the maximum I can managed.

Anyway Kee Hoe, try not to lose your "cool" during the work. I personally think some unexpected occasions help to build up our experience in work. Try to think in another way, will you be more specific and include more details when you placed the next order?

Very wise Ong. Too often we get swept away by our desire for fish that we often accumulate more than we can take care of, and often endup with not the fish we really want. I'm currently in that boat and will be making some radical changes.

I'm going all out Aphyobranchius (3 spec) with a little N. foerschi (my fav). Then there will just be the Riv. xiphidius and Austrolebias bellottii and maybe charrua (they are SOOO pretty) and finally, an old favorite friend, Simp. whitei. Most of my stuff is going back with me to SAfr as late Christmas presents.

Oh, yes. I'm hanging onto my SJO too but I don't know where to put them.

    Regards

Thanks all, will be trying the breed and pass method. Training up some friends to take up the hobby. So once i sucess, will pass on to them. I think i have tank space for about 20 species. But seriously would only be keeping 4 or 5 of them. The rest, pass on.
