Erect moss growing secret??

Hi,

Does anyone out there have any particular advice on how to grow
erect moss correctly.

Strong lighting. Co2 if you want it to be lushy green and leafy. If only lights, fonts will be more stringy, like other types of moss, not so developed.

But direct lights is a prerequisite for it to grow well.
Clean water, any moss like clean water, preferably not so much dosage of ferts.
oh and how can I ever forget, cool temperatures. A rough guide will be below 27C.

They say moss are easy plants, but for them to do well, you will still need to pamper them like any other plant. Erect moss is amongst the light demanding moss.

I could not get my erect or xmas moss to grow beautifully, only manage to keep it green and growing. What I heard is that a low temp is required for it to grow nicely. I know of some people who manage to grow them nicely at temp below 28C. The trick may lie in keeping excess nitrate to a minimum. This advice was given to me by Gan who had tried it before.

Loads of CO2 and good nutrients. Moss cannot use bicarbonate as a source for their carbon needs.
