    hello,
i have some blackwater extract that i use when breeding betta fish and it says on the bottle it can be used with killifish, well i just got some N. Rachovii and some Fp. Gardneri NSukka eggs and i was wondering if the blackwater extract would help with the hatching/raising process or if the killifish preferr it in their water? does anyone use this with their killies?

"neb123" (... and your name is...?)
OK with Aphyosemion and Fundulopanchax species. Nothobranchius need salt more than such extract.
I'm back & keeping 'em fingers wet,

The black water extract would benefit all killies. With Nothos it is important to keep the tds rather high and the water well buffers to prevent velvet out-breaks. Salt is not a 100% requirement as long as you keep the tanks spotless. If you have hard water, then salt also isn't needed.
