I have posted this pics of a submerse moss quite a while ago and was identify by the forum people that it was Singapore Moss.
However i am not very convinced as the leaves are so much softer as compared to other mosses, unless the appearance was caused by the condition of the water.

Too bad that there was no professor to identify the moss when i found them.

    Ben,

It's good to hear from you again. It's been a while since you posted. Hope all is well.

I was just as sceptical too when the professor identified many different-looking mosses to be Singapore Moss. The most compelling evidence came to me when I found a patch of Singapore Moss growing on the bark of a tree somewhere along Upper Thomson Road. Within the patch, there is one frond that is different from the rest, in that it exhibits a triangular shape. If within the same patch under natural conditions, a moss can take on different shapes, wouldn't it look even more different when it's grown under different conditions?

Here's the picture of the patch of moss I found. Take a close look. There's a frond somewhere in the centre that is triangular.

Let me know if you can't see it and I will outline the shape for you.

that is true, I have found the same "robust" shape amongst semi-submersed Singapore moss. it seems that the robust form is manifested under semi-wet conditions. try planting the moss on a rock or wood just at the water line, you will see the different morphologies as it grows up to the dry parts and down into the water.

Hi Kwek Leong, everything is fine thanks
i guess u're right, it's the different morph form that i have come across. Those i have was collected two years back with Peter near the catchment area. I managed to get only bit of it and it's all gone, not sure if it's still there in the same spot.
