Aphyosemion joergenscheeli "SW Mbigou, GJS 00/15"I got these species from mr. Mogens Juhl in April. They are fish from a collecting Mogens did in Gabon, I think it was in 2003.
I think this is a difficult species, everything takes time with these fish, but I have 10 youngsters now.

    Male

    Female

    Aphyosemion striatum "Moyko GJS 00/32"
This is an easy fish keeping and breeding, and very productive.
    A really colorful species.

    Male

    Female

Have a nice day all of you
    Regards
    Svein

Hi Svein, Mogens made the collections in Gabon in the year 2000, not 2003.
Very beautiful joergenscheeli! We can only dream of having this fish. Its not very common in the hobby and most people regard it as difficult to work with.

That's correct, I mixed from another expedition Mogens had.

It's a pity that you cannot keeping them, may be you should find an old fridge an put the tanke there

I had problem myself this summer, so they had to move to an dark basement where the temperature was 18 C.

I'll do that when I'm desperate enough.

Here in Singapore the lowest we can go in normal room temperatures is 24 C. Any lower is close to impossible unless we have a chiller. Even then the tank will form too much condensation on the glass panels.

I'm impressed by the quality of the pictures, Svein. Not only are you an outstanding fish keeper, your photography skills are just as excellent too.

    Well, talk about modest Scandinavians...
I would say that an additional victory in the Norwegian photo competition makes me and others think of you as a very skilled photographer indeed.

I'm actually quite glad you pointed us to that link, Erik. For a while, after what Svein said, I felt slightly depressed that someone who can take such outstanding pictures describes himself as just an ordinary photographer. What would that make me? Less than ordinary? Ouch!!

But now that I know Svein's picture won first prize in a photo competition, I feel better. He was just being modest, of course. Once again, I have to say Svein's pictures are truly outstanding. I have always known them to be beautiful fish but Svein's pictures make Killies look even more beautiful.
