    Hi Dom,
I think this is a liverwort and not moss. Prof Tan ID this one before but I can't remember the name. The id can be found in the Singapore BP/Science Center Liverwort booklet written by Prof Tan.

Kwek Leong may remember the name of this liverwort.

    Hi Gan,
This is the moss from the tank of No.48 International Aquascaping competition 2005. I bought this moss since months ago before they enter this competition. I found it is growing well in quite high temperature. 29-30 with CO2 supply.

    Loh,
I forgotten to send this moss to you to verify. I will send again. Sorry for the incoveniences.

    Cheers,
    Dom

When I first saw your pictures, I thought it was Singapore Moss. Then Gan said it's a Liverwort and I thought it was too. I can't remember the name but Oriental of Singapore grows them on driftwoods. They gave me a piece the last time I visited them. Here's a pic:

But now you say the moss is from one of the tanks at Natural Aquatic World in Kuala Lumpur. I sent a couple of mosses to them, namely, Taiwan, Erect and Weeping recently. When I was there earlier, they had a moss in their tanks that could be either Christmas or Singapore.

My guess is, Dom, yours is Singapore Moss. But I'm not sure. In any case, the merry-go-round I had trying to identify it goes to show that it's difficult to identify mosses from pictures.

    Kwek Leong,
Yes, that is the liverwort I was referring to.

    Dom,
After taking another look, I think we need a better photo to tell if this is a moss or liverwort. If you can taking a closeup picture of a single strand, that would help.

If this is a moss, then it would most likely be a Vesicularia.

    Hi guys,

I have some of this plant inside my tank. Looks like Sg moss to me.
