cheap brand hopefully will not catch fire?
why I don't do garden hybrids and aquarium strains: natural species is a history of Nature, while hybrids are just the whims of Man.

    Weight: 40 Lbs.

    ELECTRONIC BALLAST
    Weight: 45.00

looks very nice. and at that price its more than a match for arcadia.

except I can't really tell if its 2 bulb mh? and at 48'
does it give 5ft spread? (my new tank size).

    - also: is www.aquaticstore.com in singapore or what?

I haven't asked dupla.. dupla got distributer here meh..

anyway friday going to see a second hand set (3mth old).

    meanwhile. here's another lobang.

its so cheap I dunno what to do.

ie: go for cheap or go for looks.

    DUAL MH Light
    2x 10k 150w de 230ac
    S$320

look, its a 2 HQI system . according to the guy. its on consignment basis or something. the set is assembled in thailand with all german parts.
however, there's no pulley system or whatever you call it. so its something to get elsewhere.

the other item. which is probably going to be equally cheap (ie: probably aroudn $500-$600)

    MH Light 10k
    2 x 150W MH Light
    4 X PL Light

however, there's no stock in singapore yet, its a supplier trying to gauge interest.

dupla is $$$EXPENSIVE$$$$ (relatively to all the rest in singapore).

    ok:
meanwhile, I was earlier at ginza plaza getting some yamatoes from lake aquarium,
I passed by Eralco trading (inside ginza plaza at the rear), and they are carrying MH lights from Giesemann

Arcadia coming out with a overtank luminaire version for metal halide lamps (2x, double-ended), previously there's only T8 & T5, within the next quarter... Pretty cool, as I had seen it at aquarama(Qianhu's booth), there's the rippling effect . Would love to get it for my planted tank if the price is within budget.

P.S : I forgot to ask if the bulbs can be replaced with commerical bulbs from osram , etc, perhaps someone going to aquarama tomorrow can ask for me

Freaking expensive aren't they.... DIY for 3 x MH bulbs only cost around 500 bucks(depending on wattage of bulbs used)... Maybe I should get a cheap but stylish china made design , dismantle and remake it to use better quality components....

Hi loupgarou, the arcadia Slimline 3 series also got a mini version (40 cm x 25 cm) and can be fitted with 150 Watt MH. Look is neat and the price is acceptable ~ S$500+
Should be a alternative for a small and medium tank..
