    JY,

how's your tank setup? Water parameters?

Maybe you would like to replicate Ronnie's setup - damn successful and less maintenance.

Good ol' plain plastic tank (Tom brand - model no. 1023), sponge filtration. Bare-bottom setup with just java moss. Almost zero maintenance.

Water is slightly on the acidic side, about pH 6.5 and a little soft in terms of hardness. I don't know why they haven't spawned yet.

Quite frankly, with all the house moving currently going on, were I not in debt to people for eggs, or once more relying on my fish for some pocket money, I would of sold all my tanks and fish last month.

The fish are very nice, and a I like having them around very much, but right now they are a lot of work and big bother.

But it seems I will be having them around for a while yet. And no doubt within the next few months I will wonder what possessed me to have these ludicrous thoughts.

Wow, I start thinking about starting killies up again, and this is one of the first threads I come across. Talk about irony. Anyway, I think what Scott said is true, fish keeping always starts gnawing at you over time. I have given up on the hobby several times, killies most recently, and, well here I am again.

As an added coincidence, the pics of Ron's Chrom. splendopleure were what convinced me to start killies in the first place.
