Wow!! That is an amazing tank, Jacek! I love that mature-jungle look. If Tarzan suddenly appears swinging across that tank, I wouldn’t be surprise—that tank is superb. With shadows creating depth, those crawly reddish- brown branches adding contrast to the green and that perfect foreground plant—I simply love it.
How do you maintain it? Do you have to trim the mosses often, so it wouldn’t merge different species/variety of mosses together? Are you planning to add different types of mosses you currently don't have in there? And what snails are in that tank? I’m interested in seeing more pictures of your tank in different angles—especially in bird’s eye view. Awesome tank.
Wow, what a beautiful scene!
And thank you especially for the picture with all the moss types labelled. This is fascinating, seeing them all "in situ" together. I will be studying your photo to learn the different shapes and appearance of the various mosses - this is a GREAT resource you've just posted!
Lovely photography, too! I like the "dark" background, and the "light" background pictures for variation.
Thanks for posting this! Your Moss Tank is just Stunning!

An absolutely stunning tank, Jacek. Congratulations. You're obviously a very accomplished aquatic gardener.
I have a question for you.
For the flora in your tank, you listed 2 species of Riccia, namely Riccia fluitans and Riccia rhenana. We're quite familiar with the former but I've yet to see the latter up close. It's a liverwort that I've only heard about but has never seen before. Is it possible to show us a picture of Riccia rhenana?

Greetings!
I'm sorry for not answering immediately, but my English is poor and all my messages have to be translated first.![]()
Thanks for your kind words; I'm glad that you like my tank.
The pieces of driftwood have been selected in such a way that I did not have to trim the mosses for a while.Originally Posted by Rand

I would still like to obtain Erect Moss and Nano MossOriginally Posted by Rand
Planorbis sp. These are little snails that eat algae and only the rotting parts of plantsOriginally Posted by Rand
Riccia rhenana is smaller than Riccia fluitans; when it receives a lot of light it becomes dark green and heavier than water.Originally Posted by timebomb
Here's a picture of it:

Thanks for showing us the picture of Riccia rhenana, Jacek. But I'm highly doubtful. The dark green sinking form of Riccia is, I believe, also Riccia fluitans.
In our tanks, R. fluitans is usually bright green and it floats. But when grown submersed over a long period of time, it mutates into a dark green version which sinks. I've shown the bright green floating ones and the dark green sinking ones to the professor before and he said they are the same plant. But I have to clarify the professor didn't make a comprehensive examination of the 2 plants. We were pressed for time so the examination was carried out hastily.
I'll see if I can find the 2 different forms of Riccia and show them to the professor again. I still think R. rhenana is something different though. The professor would probably know what it looks like.
By the way, let me have your mailing address and I'll see if I can get some Erect Moss to you. You're so good with mosses it would be a shame if your tank does not have this one.
