    Hi all,

I am trying to put together a website for us killie keepers in Canberra specifically and for all killie keepers in Australia more generally. It is a work in progress and will be working on the site for the next few weeks and months.

This is how it looks currently:

Any feed back/encouragement will be apreciated

    Cheers,

    Serkan

Nice site, Serkan but it needs work Some of the links aren't working correctly but I'm sure you will fix them soon.

You may want to consider including a visitors' counter and guestbook on the site. It's also a good idea, I think, to date every page. As the years go by, you may want to know when the pages were created.

The main picture in your homepage is rather unusual, in that it shows 2 different species of Killies in one tank. Most Killifish breeders, I think, would prefer to keep their Killies in dedicated tanks. Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe the Fundulopanchax in the picture will probably tear the fins of the Aphyosemion striatum to bits. The picture may give the wrong impression that it's perfectly alright to keep these 2 species together.

    Hi K L,

Thank you for the input. It will take me a while to figure out where and how to put a counter but will be looking into it for sure. As for dating the pages, thanks for reminding me it was on my list! At the moment I'll only date the main page I think.

As for the photo; I took the image in a custom built photography tank!!! Yes I know the image should be better but I have the tank not the camera
Anyway, the two fish were in the tank together for about 2 hours and they ony displayed to each other in that time and there was no nipping!

That is basically how the photo came about and in no way I'll be recommending people to keep these two fish in the same tank. As per your suggestion I've written a caption indicating these fish were in a photographic tank as the image was taken. On explorer you only need to get the mouse over the image to see the caption, in mozilla it appears you need to right click and look at properties!!!

Anyway hopefully the rest of the website will be giving enough information to beginners in how to properly house their killies.

    Cheers,

    Serkan
