Does anyone know how sensitive Java and Taiwan mosses are to salt? I currently add 1 teaspoon of marine salt per gallon of water for my Fp. sjoestedti and was wondering if this would negatively effect any mosses I might add.

    Thanks in advance.

Java Moss is found in brackish estuaries, and pretty similar to Taiwan Moss. so they both probably tolerate quite high levels of salinity as long as the potassium, calcium, magnesium are also present.

I discovered, the hard way, that even tiny amounts of salt will kill Java Moss in really soft water. Using marine salt mixes is a good way to be sure the salt doesn't harm them, at modest concentrations.
