Hi, just now took a photo of the 3 brother. I am curious whether they would survive in submerge. Any successful story? I heard any plant can be trained to survive underwater. Is it true?

I think it will be way cool to have it invate my planted tank.

    Hi KeeHoe,
peat mosses can survive underwater for a while but they prefer to grow semi-emmers, which means that they prefer to grow above the water surface and only the last part of the stem is below thew surface. In nature you can find them sometimes completely submersed but that's only a temporary situation. They are swamp plants, no true aquatic plants.

That's completely nonsense. It's the same as if you would say that every bird can be trained to dive because penguins can dive well.
Most terrestric plants will die in a few days because a gas-exchange with the environment isn't possible anymore. True aquatic plants cannot be trained to grow completely emmers, too.

    regards
    Robert
